We offer ALL COVID-19 testing options. This includes diagnostic testing both rapid Antigen(in-office) and PCR (send out), as well as antibody testing(send out) for symptomatic or
non-symptomatic patients.
ALL COVID-19 testing is done only after a TELEHEALTH visit with one of our providers. They will evaluate your symptoms and/or concerns and decide the appropriate testing methodology. Please call our office at 860-599-2469 to find out how to sign up for your visit.
Rapid Antigen testing is done via a nasal swab and performed with the Sofia 2 Analyzer. The sensitivity is 96.7% PPA when using nasal swabs within the first 5 days of symptoms.However, testing can be done days 2 to 14 . This test is done in the office and results are within 30 minutes . This test IS used to detect a current COVID-19 infection.
PCR testing is done via a nasal swab and sent out to Quest Diagnostics or East Side Lab. The turnaround time varies based upon the laboratory’s current sample processing volume. The results are typically around 5-7 days, but may vary. We urge you to get the Quest app on your phone and sign up for lab result alerts. This test IS used to detect a current COVID-19 infection.
Antibody testing is done via a blood draw. This test is used to detect the presence of COVID-19 antibody. This test will detect the previous exposure to COVD-19 virus or prior COVID-19 infection. This test is NOT used to detect a current COVID-19 infection.

Most commercial insurance companies, as well as Medicaid and Medicare are covering the costs for both the Provider Telehealth visit and testing during the current pandemic. Please contact your insurance carrier for confirmation of coverage, as daily coverage changes do occur.
If you do not have health coverage we would suggest you go to Ledge Light Health District at llhd.org to obtain the current FREE testing sites . If you wish to self pay for your visit and testing please contact us at 860-599-2469 for an estimate.
